WattStream is a local solar inverter monitoring app. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

WattStream does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

The app communicates exclusively with your solar inverter over your local WiFi network. No data is sent to any external server, cloud service, or third party.

What the App Accesses

• Local network access: The app connects to your inverter's data logger via your local WiFi network (typically on port 8899) to read real-time solar production data.
• WiFi state: Used to detect your local network and find your inverter's IP address.
• Location permission: Required by Android to scan local network devices. The app does not track or store your location.

Data Storage

All configuration data (inverter IP address, connection settings, display preferences) is stored locally on your device only. No data is backed up to any cloud service by the app.

Third-Party Services

WattStream does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

This app is not designed for or directed at children under 13.
